T.A.P.E. Collective 501c3 is a nonprofit arts organization that is dedicated to facilitating support for analog media through free digitizing, education, hands-on-training, equipment rentals & volunteer opportunities. 

TEACH ARCHIVE PRESERVE EXHIBIT

 

Year round we offer volunteer opportunities to work cooperatively in our organization based on one's specific interests in furthering our mission. In 2024 we trained 30+ volunteers to preserve analog media in archival digital processes, form a collective programming body, run events and how to lead and teach our film and video related workshops.

In our preservation efforts we concentrate our outreach to as many communities that may be left out of the digitizing conversation as possible. Whether that is because of a language barrier, economic setbacks or age, we hope to serve communities that may be excluded or exploited by a for-profit home media digitizing landscape, and offer more archival services than they would receive otherwise, while offering free advice and education on A/V preservation principles.
